by Groupe Gaïana September 6, 2023
The Gaïana group, which publishes software for the alcohol, wine and spirits, horticulture and agriculture sectors, has announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire PAC Informatique, a wine and spirits software publisher.

Founded in 1981 by Marie-Chantal Billard, PAC Informatique is a publisher of business software for the wine industry, specialising in sparkling wines and serving prestigious Champagne producers such as Roederer and Vranken-Pommery.

This acquisition is the third for the Gaïana Group, following the acquisitions of the Bacchus solution in 2019 and Asape in 2021. The Gaïana Group is pursuing its ambitious external growth strategy, both in its traditional sectors and in new, related and growing business verticals in France and Europe.

The acquisition of this company will enable the Gaïana group to achieve sales of €25m, expand its software offering in the group's traditional vertical business and optimise the technological and commercial synergies between the two companies.

PAC Informatique's customers and users will benefit from the enhanced expertise of the Gaïana group and access to a broader range of solutions, which will guarantee a better quality of service. The PAC Informatique teams will join the Gaïana group, bringing with them their know-how and experience.

Marie-Chantal Billard, Chairman of PAC Informatique: "After 42 years working in the wine industry, I had to find the ideal buyer for PAC Informatique. The Gaïana group, through its subsidiary iD Systemes, a leading software publisher in the wine sector, was chosen as the natural buyer to ensure the continuity of the business.

André Renaison, Partner at Meanings Capital Partners: "We are delighted to have been able to support the management of the Gaïana Group in the strategic planning and execution of this acquisition. The Gaïana Group now intends to pursue its active external growth strategy, both in France and in Europe (particularly in Spain, Italy and Germany), across all its business lines.

Christophe Morizot, Chairman of the Gaïana Group, commented: "We are particularly delighted with this merger with PAC Informatique, which will enable the Gaïana Group to strengthen its position in Champagne, where business is very buoyant, and we are delighted to welcome new talent with strong expertise in our businesses.
